To Everyone Involved --
In the beginning, a beautiful and unique vision, five plus years in the making, two different Mayors and Councils, hundreds of dedicated volunteers lead by the two great team captains, Craig Campobella and Dave Clements, governmental cooperation between Montgomery County and the City of Conroe, a wonderful leading sponsor, Spirit of Texas Bank, ALL working together in unison, ALL focused on a single goal.

On April 21, 2011 Lone Star Monument and Historical Flag Park was dedicated and stands as an honor to all of those who gave birth to the great State of Texas, and says with pride and reverence, “You are remembered… Texas remembers”.

As Mayor, I am humbled by the greatness of this project, thankful for its present value and for the benefit it will give to generations that follow.

Please know that it is people like you that make a great community and city. This historical park could not have been accomplished without you. May you stay blessed, and thank you again.
