Proudly Present the First Anniversary Celebration Of

The Lone Star Monument and Historical Flag Park

Saturday, April 21, 2012 from 1:00 – 3:00pm
(San Jacinto Day)

Adjacent to the Montgomery County Central Library.
(104 I-45 North Conroe, TX 77301)

This beautiful and Award Winning Park was unveiled and dedicated one year ago to honor Montgomery County as the Birthplace of the Texas Flag. To Celebrate the First Anniversary of the Park, we will have a ceremonial Raising of the Flags by local community leaders. Winning essays written by local History Students will be read to honor the Flags.

There will be a Silent Auction for each of the thirteen Original Flags raised at the Dedication Ceremony in 2011. Each Battle Flag will be showcased in a display case with a plaque stating the date the Flag was raised over the Park and who originally raised the flag. These flags hold historic value and there has been great interest shown by many who desire to own one. All funds raised at this event will be used to replace the flags and keep them in pristine condition.

You have the opportunity to pre-bid electronically on the flags beginning Tuesday, March 6. For bid information, please email us at fotff@yahoo.com. Bids will be in $25 increments. The electronic bid will end April 20, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. After that point the highest bid carries over as the opening bid to the silent auction on April 21st at the flag park.
